Getting Started
KravDonor is Bulgaria's first pet blood donor registry platform. We connect veterinary clinics with pet owners who have registered their animals as potential blood donors. When you need blood, you search our database by animal type, blood type, and location. The system automatically notifies matching donors via SMS and push notifications. Owners respond directly to you, and you arrange the transfusion.
Registration is free and easy. Click "Register" at the top of the page and fill out the form with your clinic information (name, address, phone, email). You'll receive an email confirmation. Our team will then verify your credentials (usually within 24-48 hours), and you'll be approved for platform access.
Verification of professional users is essential to protect pet owners' personal data. We verify that you are a legitimate veterinary clinic, hospital, association, or professional. The process typically takes 24-48 hours during business days. You'll receive an email notification when approved or if we need additional information.
The professional platform is available to: licensed veterinary clinics, veterinary hospitals, emergency veterinary services, veterinarians in private practice, and veterinary associations. All applicants must provide proof of professional affiliation during registration.
No. KravDonor is completely free for veterinary professionals. There are no registration fees, subscription fees, or per-request costs. The platform is self-funded and independent. Our mission is to facilitate life-saving, not to make money.
Using the Platform
When you search for donors, you specify the criteria: animal type (dog/cat), blood type, and your location. The system searches the database for active donors matching these criteria. Results are filtered by distance from your clinic. You can see basic pet information (type, blood group, city) before creating a request.
After logging in, go to "Search Donors" and fill in the required criteria. After reviewing matching donors, click "Create Blood Request". Provide details about urgency, patient health status, and your contact preferences. The system immediately sends notifications to all matching donors. You receive their responses and arrange transfusion directly with them.
When you create a blood request, the system automatically sends SMS and push notifications (via mobile app) to all registered donors matching your criteria. The notification includes basic request information and a quick response link. Donors can respond "Interested" or "Not Available". You receive real-time notifications of their responses.
Important Disclaimer
No. KravDonor is a contact intermediary and we cannot guarantee that donors will respond or be available. Donors are volunteers and their participation depends on their schedule, availability, and the pet's willingness to donate. We notify all matching donors, but the response is entirely their choice. We recommend creating requests as early as possible and having backup plans.
When donors respond to your request, you receive: pet name, blood type, species (dog/cat), age, weight, health status, last donation (if any), owner name and phone. This allows you to contact the owner directly to arrange donor screening and transfusion.
Legal Responsibility & Liability
All medical decisions are entirely the responsibility of the attending veterinarian. KravDonor is only a contact intermediary. You are responsible for: determining donor suitability, performing blood typing and crossmatch, obtaining informed consent from donor owner, performing the transfusion procedure according to veterinary standards, managing all medical risks and complications.
KravDonor bears no medical, legal, or financial responsibility for transfusion procedures.
We take data privacy very seriously. Owner personal data (phone, email, address) is only visible to verified veterinary professionals when the donor responds to a request. This information must be used solely for the purpose of arranging blood donation. Unauthorized sharing or misuse of personal data will result in immediate account termination and may have legal consequences.
No. KravDonor is an intermediary contact platform and bears no responsibility for medical, legal, or financial consequences related to blood transfusion procedures. The attending veterinarian and clinic bear full responsibility for medical decisions, procedures, and their outcomes. Please review our Terms of Service before using the platform.
No. Owners provide information about their pets' health status during registration, but this information is not medically verified by KravDonor. It is the veterinarian's responsibility to perform a complete medical examination of the donor, including blood tests, before the transfusion procedure. Never accept a donor without full veterinary screening.

Yes. If you manage multiple clinics or have multiple locations, you can register each under one professional account. During registration, please specify your primary location. After approval, contact us to add additional locations. Each location can have its own contact details and create requests from their location.
Yes. The platform is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can create blood requests at any time, including nights and weekends. Donors receive immediate SMS and push notifications. However, donor availability depends on their schedule, and donors may not be available outside regular business hours. For emergencies, we recommend having backup plans.
After logging in, click on your account name in the top right corner and select "Settings". There you can update your clinic information, contact details, notification preferences, and password. Changes to clinic information may require re-verification by our team.
If you wish to deactivate your professional account, please <a href="/contact" class="text-blue-600 hover:text-blue-700 underline">contact us</a>. We will cancel any active requests, deactivate your account, and delete your data in accordance with our privacy policy. Please note that request history may be retained for records and auditing.
